Robotics workbook β outlines, parts, tools, wiring, and control next to the video.
Open vs closed loop
- Open loop: command speed without measuring β drifts with load.
- Closed loop: use sensors (encoder, IMU) to correct error.
PID (intro)
- P proportional to error; I removes steady bias; D dampens oscillation.
- Tune safely: low speed first, log values, add estop on radio/serial.
State machines
Model modes: IDLE, DRIVE, AVOID, FAULT β transitions on sensor thresholds and timeouts.
